Things I'm looking forward to doing in November:
one: Taking early weekend morning walks with (hopefully still) colorful leaves crunching under my feet. And taking pictures of all the beauty Mother Nature has to offer this time of year.
two: Burning scented candles all day long (Diptyque Jasmin and Parks London Pear & Orange are my current favorites).
three: Curling up in my bed with a warm blanket, a cup of steaming tea or hot chocolate nearby, and a great novel in my hands. (this one and this one are my recent coups de coeur)
four: Rediscovering the pleasure of blogging again. I want to blog for myself, not for numbers and statistics. I want to write about what inspires me, what makes me happy or sad, what makes me me. I want to be honest. Genuine. Myself.
five: Getting sucked up in new seasons of my favorite shows: Revenge, Scandal, Arrow, Hart of Dixie...it seems I have a lot on my TV plate!
six: Trying as many apple recipes as humanly possible. Even more so, if some chocolate chips are involved.
seven: Pulling all my cozy sweaters and colorful scarves out of my closet. Also, creating a fall outfit inspiration board sounds so fun, too!
eight: Journaling. I have kind of lost my groove and mojo lately and I blame it on spending too much time inside my own head (overthinkers, are you with me?). I hope that putting my thoughts and worries on paper helps me clear my head and put things in perspective, just like it did before.
nine: Writing a letter to my future self. I picked up this fun little book a few weeks back, and I've been itching to write the very first letter to the future Ivana ever since.
ten: Slowing down. 2014 has been an insane year - that's the least I can say. I feel like I've been blazing through my days and weeks (and months!) like a flash of light, running from one thing to another. And if all goes to plan, 2015 will be no different. That's why it's entirely up to me to learn to stay still every now and then. Recharge my batteries. Do absolutely nothing, and enjoy it. I love a good challenge!
What's on your list this month?
