In the (pink) trenches

Images via Style Bistro

After a few years spent blogging, it comes as no surprise to me that a sartorial inspiration can strike whenever and wherever, sometimes at the most unexpected places and moments. I can be inspired by a painting in a gallery, by a fabulously styled room spotted in a magazine, or by a favorite TV character. I've already shared my obsession with Revenge's residential bad girl Ashley Davenport (I'm still desperate about her being shipped back to Croydon!), and I have yet to speak to you about all the fabulousness that's happening every week on Scandal (if the reincarnation truly exist, I want to come back as Olivia Pope next. Or at least, I want her entire wardrobe). And while I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a huge Glee fan, I've never really seen the leading star Rachel Berry (aka the incredibly talented and gracious Lea Michele) as a style icon (I guess I'm a wee bit old for knee socks and micro mini skirts).

However, when I saw her wander around the Central Park in this gorgeous and ultra-feminine fuchsia trench, my jaw literally dropped down to the floor. It took me about five seconds to find out that it was one of Ted Baker's designs, which made it even more perfect in my eyes (I'm a huge fan of this brand, and I simply can't wait to visit one of its London stores when I'm there in December).
I couldn't resist putting together a Rachel-inspired outfit. After all, I could never really resist a pink skirt, a bow sweater or a healthy dose of sparkle in form of fabulous earrings and an elegant ring. And those sparkly heels? They have my name written all over themselves! Of course, I keep wishing I could call that perfect pink trench my own. Also, the idea of spending a day strolling New York while wearing it is enough to keep me up at night. This girl simply loves to dream.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment! I love discovering new interesting blogs, so don't hesitate to leave me your URL, and I'll be sure to check your blog out.

However, don't bother leaving any "Follow me!" comments that you copy & paste on dozens of blogs at a time and which show that you have absolutely no interest in my blog. I will follow your blog if I love it, not because you ordered me to do it.
