Décor inspiration: Elegant and glamorous bathroom

Photos via Style at Home

It seems, that the passion for home makeovers is really contagious these days. As soon as I finished the biggest works on my bedroom redo (I'm still waiting for my new office desk to arrive, and I'm hunting for the perfect rug - these things never truly feel finished, do they?), my parents dived into the big reconstruction of our summer house. Truth be told, I've never been very fond of that place (blame it on some bad childhood memories), and I have very little interest in things like plumbing, roof tiling, or chimney building. That's why I've been practically ignoring the whole hustle and bustle, right up until the point where my mom told me that I'll be the one picking new furniture and putting the color schemes together. Now you're talking! Although I can see some epic fights in my near future - my father is not the most style-forward person in the world - I'm pretty excited about the whole thing. I've already created a dedicated Pinterest board, and I've been hoarding all the issues of Country Living & co. that I could lay my hands on.

One thing I really want to have in our new house, is a beautiful, serene and glamorous bathroom. That's definitely one element of comfort I'm not willing to sacrifice. And this glorious, showstopping space simply took my breath away. All the elements I love are there, in one neat little package: marble tiles (is there anything more glamorous?), soothing white palette, glamorous vanity sink (I've always dreamed of having one of those) and a slew of well-chosen accessories that keep the space personal and pretty, but uncluttered. I can already picture myself escaping to this haven with a glass of wine and a good book, listening to some great music and just relaxing and unwinding after a long week. Who needs to go to a spa, when you have such a space in your home?

  3. That is one elegant and glam bathroom! I don't care much for dealing with the mundane home repair stuff either but the decorating is always fun and it sounds like you're already having a ball with your plans Ivana. That bathroom is going to be totally fabulous!

    Have a lovely weekend sweetie!

  8. I love these designs! I'm really depressed right now because my apt. complex is renovating our current apartment and they are painting a wall in my bathroom bright orange. I'm not even joking. I told them I didn't want them to paint it but they said I don't have a choice. It is happening... I like my all white bathroom as it is!
