Home decor inspiration: White, pink & gold

Image via

I don't know how many times I've said this in the past few years, but once again, I'm in the middle of redecorating my home office. It must be my constant moving around Europe, but I have yet to create a work space I will be completely satisfied with.

Right now, due to the lack of space, my office is part of my bedroom, that's why I'm constantly battling the lack of space, as well as thinking of how I could improve it. That's why last Thursday, just before taking off for the spa, I found myself shuffling around the furniture in my home office space. I've created a new setup that allows me to take full advantage of the daylight savings (which, in Slovakia, happened on Sunday morning) and makes me face the window instead of a blank wall (so much more inspiring!).

However, it still feels like my home office d├ęcor could use some tweaking and improving, so naturally I turned to my favorite source of inspiration, Pinterest. And as soon as I stumbled upon this gorgeous space designed by the extremely talented Tobi Fairley, I was lost. White, black, pink and gold is my absolutely favorite color combination and it's precisely this palette I'm planning to use next time I'm redecorating my place. I love how pulled together, glamorous and unapologetically feminine this office is. Everything fits in perfectly, nothing feels out of place. I'm especially smitten with that spacious desk (a must), the most gorgeous blush pink chair I've ever seen and the art casually leaning against the wall.

Do you have an office space in your home? Are you happy with how it looks? Do you have a pinterest board dedicated to home office decor? If so, don't hesitate to share the link in the comments, I would love to discover some new, inspiring images!

  7. I don't really have 'office space' in my bedroom, it's more like 'desk under my not-lofted-high-enough-because-it-won't-loft-higher bed', but I suppose it works. I'm hoping I'll be able to divorce it from my bed a little more for next semester - maybe I'll be able to expand get my shoes out from my wardrobe and under my bed, then. I love that you included Dreaming of Dior in the items you picked - that's one of my favorite books right now. I'm also in love with the little pillows. I think I've finally hit the age where I don't see those exclusively as an item to fling at people who've just made a truly awful joke (not that this isn't a completely viable use for them still, it's just not the only one).

  10. I like the pink a lot and especially that there is more than one shade. I also love the carving on the back of the chair. I think I must have a home office pinterest board, I'm just not sure how much is on it. :)

  11. Ivana I love your decor inspiration! You are such a pink girl and I can totally see that inspiring you in an office setting! I share an office with my boyfriend (its a music room, art space, office space, guest room) and it gets CRAZY in there! I feel like I am always trying to keep things in place and the decor is a work in progress but I am taking a few notes from this post! I hope you are well and doing fine : )

  13. I love this space! The color combination is so chic and feminine in such a sophisticated grown up way. I also really like the graphic elements brought in by the wallpaper panels and the printed seat. I share a desk/office space with my husband so it's more sleek than girly. We have a light wood desk from Ikea and silver Aeron chairs.
