After much gushing and swooning over bows yesterday, let's discuss polka dots a bit today, shall we? If you've been reading Macarons and Pearls for a while, you probably already know that I'm obsessed with everything chic, feminine and sophisticated. And polka dot everything definitely makes part of the list (case in point here, here and here). It is thus fairly incomprehensible how on earth could I survive to this day without a perfect polka dot blouse (isn't it funny how my latest posts seem to be all about something that's oddly missing from my wardrobe or my beauty bag ?). It is one of the most versatile pieces I can imagine, looking equally fabulous thrown over a pair of cigarette black pants, tucked in a pencil skirt and covered with a sharp blazer, or perfectly layered under a bright V-neck sweater. Really, the possibilities are endless. I have rounded up my favorites in hope that you'll help me choose the perfect one. I'm currently leaning toward J.Crew's Boy shirt, but I would love to get your opinion!

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment! I love discovering new interesting blogs, so don't hesitate to leave me your URL, and I'll be sure to check your blog out.
However, don't bother leaving any "Follow me!" comments that you copy & paste on dozens of blogs at a time and which show that you have absolutely no interest in my blog. I will follow your blog if I love it, not because you ordered me to do it.

i think i like number 2 blouse best. :) xxx
ReplyDeleteThe J Crew one is great - mainly because (at least on the photo) the fabric looks "heavy" enough to fit nicely. xo

You can't go wrong with polka dots! I do have to say, I have the Blythe Blouse in the silver polka dot from last season and I love love love it. I haven't tried the boy cut yet, but let's be honest, you can't go wrong with JCrew either.

ReplyDeleteHi Ivana! I think also for me the first one is very nice! Though the all are lovely, that one is perfect and easily matching with everything!! Love it:) Kisses my dear, have a good day! xo
ReplyDeleteThey're all great, but I think #1 might have more versatility because of its smaller scale dots... super cute choices; I think this is the best kind of dilemma to have :)
ReplyDeleteClassic and chic, love it!
ReplyDeleteI just a very cute one... Love polka dots!
ReplyDeleteAs funny as it is that I prefer the cheap one over the expensive J Crew one, I'm loving the Forever 21 shirt best! But they really are all great.
ReplyDeleteGreat post :)
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely in need of a white polka dot blouse myself! I think I'm loving the F21 the best!

Polka dots are so cute and sweet! I have a polka-dotted dress and it's such fun to wear. I'd love a shirt, but unfortunately, all the ones in my price range are always sheer. :c Oh well! I'll acquire one some day. These are gorgeous choices, though.

If I had another obsession besides stripes it would be polka dots! Any of these would be an indispensable wardrobe staple. My favorites would be the J Crew Boy blouse you're leaning towards and also the J Crew Blythe blouse cause I like the bolder scale of the dots and how it looks a little more fluid. You can't go wrong whichever you choose :)

Polka dots have been an acquired taste for me, but with blouses such as these? I am most certainly on the polka dot train! They're so fun and feminine!
