Say Bonjour to 2013

I don't really think I should explain  (or excuse) my eternal love for everything French. Those of you who follow my blog regularly know that I have yet to encounter an item with a French inscription that I wouldn't love. That's why it comes as no surprise that when this Bonjour sweater from Asos arrived at my doorstep, I practically squealed from delight.It couldn't have arrived at a better moment, since I've been saying "hello" to 2013 every single morning this past week, feeling excited, enthusiast and inspired about the upcoming year.

Colorful knits are my favorite winter staple, since they add a pop of fun to otherwise dark and dreary days. Plus, they are the easiest thing to put on in the morning, something I really appreciate at 6am, before my first dose of caffeine kicks in. For this shoot however, I skipped the ubiquitous pair of skinny jeans in favor of my favorite lace pencil skirt, for a look that's polished, feminine, but not over-the-top.
