From my kitchen: Apple chips

I think I've already mentioned that my parents have a ginormous garden in the country. Thanks to my father we almost never have to buy potatoes, tomatoes or onions. He has a bunch of apple trees as well, some of them older than I am. And while it is true that I'm not a big fan of working in the garden, apple picking is something I almost never miss. I simply love that moment when I can devour an apple picked straight from the tree. And when it comes to perfect fall snacks, there's nothing that beats homemade apple chips. They are extremely easy to make: just wash the apples, remove their cores, cut in slices and let them dry in the oven (or, like me in a food dehydrator) until they're crispy. Come fall, I always need to have a bowl of them next to my computer, as a healthy alternative to chocolate and candy.

  8. These are a really great and healthy snack, we buy them here in packs called dried fruit but I bet its sooo much better making them on your own. So lucky to have such a fruitful garden!

  11. I am definitely not a fruit lover, but these actually look kind of yummy :) maybe I'll try it!
and as a reply to your comment on my blog, the french mani does look intimidating, but please try the method that I talked about! It really blew my mind at how much control you actually have when you clean the mani off rather than painting it :)
