Wedding in France

Dress and sunnies: Orsay, Shoes: Deichmann, Necklace and earrings: Peerless Charm c/o, Clutch: Dorothy Perkins, Ring: Six, Flower pin: Bijou Brigitte, Nail polish: Essie French Affair

It's 7 o'clock in the morning, and I'm still not sure I'm completely woken up. We got back from France at midnight, after a whirlwind trip full of fun, wedding festivities, family diners with fantastic food and a little bit of shopping. The wedding was lovely (and the foie gras was downright divine), and it gave me some more ideas on what to do (and also what not to do) for our own wedding. I opted for an easy breezy chiffon maxi dress and I remember losing my high heels somewhere around midnight (dancing was much easier after that!)
It's quite funny that everytime I land in France (whether it's in Paris or any other part), I always feel like coming home (I was definitely meant to be born French!). I love the fact that I can buy a fresh croissant at every corner of the street, that I don't have to track my favorite cosmetics on the internet, that I don't pay double price for my favorite magazines, and that everyone around me speaks a language that I can understand (definitely not the case with German, yet). I enjoyed every single minute of our stay, I stocked up on a lot of beautiful memories and great mood and I'm ready to tackle another week in Austria (but only after another cup of coffee!)

  23. Hi... first, you look so pretty and girly in that floral frothy dress. I really like the sweet and dainty pearl necklace. You and your sweetie make such a cute couple. Sounds like you had a great time. "Hearing" you speak about knowing that you were meant to be French is so familiar to me because I always felt I was mean to be German; each time I visit my cousin there I feel like I belong, like everything is OK with the world when I walk down the street and that I could exist on a daily diet of "Deutsch sprechen"...haha
The H&M shoes I wore on my Americana post are now on sale for $10. Since they have no padding whatsoever the balls of my feet were super hurting.
Yes, I love to read and alas am a magazine hoarder myself; I actually have the first edition of the InStyle magazine! Right now I am in the middle of the Fifty Shades trilogy (second book). Some other people have asked about it so I think I may do a review of sorts soon but between you and me: if you haven't read it yet you should start!
Thank you for all your lovely comments. I look forward to reading them! And yes, I think we would be great friends and this is a great start!
Enjoy your day my beautiful friend!

  24. OMG! the dress is a dream! I love it! And your make up is fantastic - very nice and clean look!
