Strawberry surprise

I love this time of year when first berries start to pop up at the Farmers market. To me, the transformation of markets to cheerful and colorful places is a true sign of an upcoming summer. I love how an inspiration for a simple and delicious dessert can spark anytime. And that's exactly what happened with these beautiful strawberries. This is all you need for two cups:

* 200g strawberries
* 50g of your favorite biscuits
* 100g of freshly whipped cream mixed with 50g of ricotta and 2tsp of sugar
* chocolate powder (I love the hot chocolate à l'ancienne from Angelina in Paris)

Crumble up the biscuits. Cut the strawberries in cubes and stir in gently one or two teaspoons of cane sugar.
In two pretty small bowls (mine are from Ikea), alternate layers of crumbled biscuits, strawberries and whipped cream with ricotta. Finish with a dollop of cream that you sprinkle with the last crumbs and a little bit of chocolate. Let settle down in the fridge for 2 hours and take out at least 30 minutes before serving.

Bon appétit!

  14. This looks SO tasty and fresh! I love the tartness of berries. I just ate an entire pint of Haagen-Dazs White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle last night, and it was worth every single calorie. No regrets there!
