Originally, I was planning to write a post about my love of tangerine color and a few tips on how to style it, but yesterday, something happend to me that rubbed me the wrong way and forced me to react. I´ve been blogging for more than a year and it´s been such a fulfilling and empowering experience! My blog constantly challenges my skills, my imaginations, it makes me think outside the box and discover the world in a whole different way. I cherish every single minute I spend working on my little "baby", I cherish every single comment I receive and I love receiving even those that disagree with me and point out something I missed or something I didn´t get right. After all, it´s all about the learning process, and becoming a better person everyday. What I don´t understand however, are the pointless and injuring hater comments that hit below the belt and are meant to hurt you. I received my first true hater comment yesterday, and while it certainly didn´t make me crumple on the ground and cry my eyes out, it was an altogether unpleasant experience. Especially when the comment came with lots of harsh and defamatory words and no signature. I think this is one thing common to all the pathetic haters: their lives are so sad and miserable that they prefer to make other people sad instead of dealing with their own insecurities. And I´m sad for them.
I´m more than ready to receive a constructive criticism that will help me get better in what I´m doing. But I´m really not interested in these losers who hate me because I´m doing something they will never be able to do: live my life to the fullest and do what I truly love. If they hate what I do, they are more than welcome to stop reading, shut the tab and never come back again. Or, if they really want to express their hatred and distaste, they should at least have the balls to sign their rant with their name, and not present themselves as "Anonymous".
I´m sure the person concerned will recognise herself, if she reads this. And I apologize to all of you, my wonderful readers who support me and encourage me in every possible way, to burden you with this issue. But since the "lovely" reader didn´t leave me the chance to reply to her personally, this was the only way for me to react.
I still think that starting my own blog was one of the best decisions I´ve ever made, especially because of all the wonderful people I could connect with in the blogosphere. You all deserve a huge thanks for making every single day of my life special!
