As a girl from a small town (in a very small country), I´ve always aspired to something more, something better. Not necessarily more money or more things, but a life rich with experiences and achievements. I´ve always wanted to live a happy and successful life, with a touch of glamour. This ambition lead me first to Paris, then to New York, Brussels and now to Graz. And it was the reason why I started this blog in the first place. I´ve always wanted Macarons and Pearls to be my (and your) guide to a glamorous and fulfilled life.
Glamour cannot be found only in a huge bank account, on the red carpet ot in the life of a movie star. You are not born glamorous, but you can become glamorous if you want to. To me, glamour is a state of mind, a lifestyle, an everyday choice. It´s in the details, it´s in all those beautiful things and opportunities that life throws your way, it´s in your perspective, it´s the way you see the world around you. And the most important thing to remember: you can be glamorous even if you are on a budget. It´s not abour the money, it´s about the attitude.
This is the beginning of a new series on my blog. I´m going to share my perception of glamour, tips and tricks on how to bring glamour to your everyday life, alongside with detailed how to´s that will help you discover your glamorous self.
This is what glamour means to me:
Glamour is when you feel confident and happy, when you stand tall and don´t apologize for who you are and what you do.
Glamour is in the decadent flavors and beautiful colors of the French macarons.
Glamour is following your own dreams and instincts, and not letting anyone tell you how you should live.
Glamour is in a beautiful bouquet of peonies, wrapped in an inconspicuous brown paper.
It´s in a delicious sweet treat that you prepared for your beloved ones.
Now it´s up to you to tell me. What glamour means to you?
