White House Chic

Dorothy Perkins dress (worn as tunic) and bag, Levi´s Bold Curve skinny jeans, Deichmann wedges,  H&M earrings, Tiffany&Co. bracelet
As you can see, I´m still drawing so much energy and inspiration from my US holiday. And it was not just about New York.
As soon as we landed on Reagan airport, I immediately fell in love with Washington DC. It´s such an opposite to New York: it´smaller, calmer, and so much greener! That´s the one thing I really miss when I´m in NYC: small parks with plenty of benches, trees that provide some shadow under the blazing sun and the flowers. Especially the flowers! That´s why in Washington, I was beyond happy!
And as much as I love New York, its energy, pace and shopping opportunities, I must confess that it´s in DC that I felt really relaxed and on holiday. It was the perfect city to wander around, admire the beautiful architecture, discover the government buildings and enjoy the weather that was still hot but not overwhelming. All in all, Washington has quickly become one of my favorite cities. I´m definitely going back one day!

Have you already visited Washington DC? What did you think about it?

  1. I LOVE dc!! It's such a fun city and it feels a lot easier to find your way around than NY, which is of course MUCH closer to me.

  2. Very pretty outfit Ivana! And I feel the same way about DC. I have enjoyed many happy visits there, and it is one of my favorite cities in the world! :)
